Data Policy
CountUp is a web analytics service that is provided by Strive Studio UG, registered HRB 217657 B and located in Lohmühlenstraße 65, 12435 Berlin, Germany.
This data policy complements our privacy policy and aims to offer transparency on the data we collect and store, how we store it, and steps we’ve taken to comply with the cookie law and the privacy regulations such as the GDPR, CCPA and PECR.

1. Data Collection
CountUp is designed to capture trends on websites without tracking individual visitors. We don't use cookies or any similar technolgy to store persistent identifiers on a visitors device.
We also do not track, collect nor store any personal data or personally identifiable information and we try to minimize data collection in general. Here is a complete list of what we track about a website visitor:

2. Data Storage and Security
CountUp is fully and securely hosted on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany. All our hosting providers comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We do regular backups of all our data. These backups are also stored in the EU, in a redundant site. We encrypt all of your data both in transit and in rest using SSL/HTTPS and symmetric encryption algorithms like AES-256.

3. Data Ownership
With CountUp, you always retain 100% ownership of your data. Here's what we mean by that:
- Your data is yours. We simply store it on our cloud servers when you use our hosted service.
- We claim no rights over your website data and never sell or share it with third parties. It's not mined for trends, nor monetized.
- You have the freedom to delete your account or specific site stats whenever you choose. Once deleted, the data is gone forever, and we cannot retrieve it.
Your data is retained indefinitely for you until you decide to delete it. You can choose to delete your account or your website data at any time. For those wishing to delete their CountUp account or website data, requests can be made by emailing [email protected]. Post-confirmation, all data will be permanently removed from our servers.

4. Privacy Law Compliance
We've designed CountUp to prioritize user privacy, ensuring that we adhere to global data privacy standards. We've structured our data model to inherently prevent the collection or storage of personally identifiable information, in direct alignment with regulations such as the GDPR, CCPA, PECR, and more. We also don't use cookies or similar technologies to store identifiers on visitor devices. This means that when using CountUp you don't need any user consents or banners.
